Geoffrey Baptiste is a New York based, Haitian-American artist working professionally as a Photographer, Director and Producer. His journey as an image-maker began to unfold in 2018, while working in Les Cayes, Haiti, volunteering at the Providence Academy/Foyer des Enfants de la Providence orphanage. During this time, he fell in love with landscape photography and portraiture, refusing to ever leave home without a camera.

Today, his work spans across the worlds of fashion, music, and landscapes, typically working within an analog process: shooting on film, and processing in the darkroom. At his core, he is a documentarian, striving to capture honesty within his subject matter, whether human or inanimate; an honesty through which he aims to explore and share his own stories. As a child of immigrants, he tends to lend his lens towards subjects and spaces that embody his personal experience and mirror his personal interests, with the goal of creating imagery that speaks to people who exist in the communities from which he grew. His ability to connect with his subjects each and every time he gets behind the lens, allows viewers to feel a sense of intimacy with characters and environments they may never personally know.
